Canada is comprised of provinces (the same way the United States and Australia are comprised of states), and Quebec is one of those provinces. Quebec is part of Canada and is not a country.

There was a point in time at which Quebec wanted to separate from Canada (one of the reasons being Quebec having a majority French speaking population and other provinces having a majority English speaking population).

Quebec is a province or a part of Canada but some people in Quebec wish that Quebec breaks away from Canada.
However, in Quebec they speak French and In the rest of Canada they speak French. Witch is a reason that you might think that Quebec might be separated from Canada.

No they're not. Quebec always wants to separate though. And they don't have to display English signs but the rest of Canada (no one speaks French) has to have French labels on EVERY PRODUCT. It's pretty aggravating!
