How often should i throw away my pillows and buy new ones? what about mattresses, toothbrushs, rugs (that are by the door and get wet etc), pillows used for decoration on the couch. Also, how often does everyone rearrange or buy new decorations for your family room for example. Thank you:)

I would buy new pillows every year. As for toothbrushes, we change ours about every 3-6 months. Our couch pillows have been on our couch for years =) now you u say that I would like to buy new ones lol. I don't buy new rugs though, I just wash the ones I have =)

I try to keep my pillows cleaned so they last me a long time until they lose their shape. Toothbrush about every 6 months. I do not like change often so I do not change my decorations. What I do is rearrange them in my rooms.

Great ?

Pillows can be cleaned so you dont have to get rid of them unless they lose their shape. About three months is the max for a toothbrush and then it needs to be replaced. I dont rearrange the furniture much since I have a pretty limited area and it only fits certain ways. I'd love to get new decorations but what I have done is recycle mine periodically. I keep bins in the basement storage and rotate things in and out.

change pillows every 6 months this is my opinion and sheets weekly if your pillows are fiber fill the washer and a gentle cycle will hold them a little and a low heat dryer tooth brushes at least every 3 months rugs when they show wear and tear couch pillows when they are worn they have lost there fluff my family room stays the same I don't like to much change hope this has helped

toothbrush at least every 6 months when you have a check up. Mattress when it gets lumpy, we turn ours around every few months and i vacuum it whenever i change the sheets to get rid of dust mites and dead skin. pillows wash as you feel it needs it until the shape is gone. couch pillows whenever i change main items of the room so that everything still flows.

I so agree - there is nothing like slipping in to your own comfy bed. We bought a new mattress in 2007, as I had been troubled with backache for many months. What a difference. No more backache since we got the new mattress. It's a Millbrook 2000 Pocket Divine Mattress, which contains 2000 hand nested pocket springs that mould to the shape of your body. (Quoting from the label I kept, ha ha ) It's classed as medium/firm and is really so comfortable.

I change my pillows twice a year.I have recently bought pillowcase covers and I was told if I got those I would only have to replace them once a year.A matress you can have for years mine has a 10 year warranty on it.I also bought a cover for it as well. Some pillows for decorations have covers that can be taken off and cleaned.(mine are zippered on the side)I've had mine for years. I spring clean in April so things get changed then sometimes depending on my mood. And usually around the fall.I tend to get blah around that time and I find even a candle for the winter nights make me happy.
