There are quite a few out there who are anxious to help you spend your money; for autos, housing, vacations, furniture, home improvements, more insurance. There are others who want to con you with dubious investments, time shares, vacation plans, cruises which have been proven not to live up to expectations.. Then about this time every charity in the books is expecting to be supported beyond those which we know are legitimate. So be aware!! There is an old adage " A fool and his money are soon parted ."

Yes and most do want your money, they all probably have a great cause they are behind, but you must decide where your passion is and what cause you are behind, that's the place to put your money. If you are a Christian, pray, God will point you in the right direction for tithing, if you are not a Christian, do what your heart tells you will give you the greatest satisfaction at the end of the day. Happy giving.

On Tuesday, one of our television stations announced they would be at a store parking lot on Wednesday, collecting things, money, and gift cards for the people in our are who lost their homes due to the recent flooding. The wanted to fill one 18-wheeler semi-truck. On the news at 6:00 last night, they showed us 'the rest of the story.' They were sorting the things to fill the FIFTH semi-truck, and were asking people to bring only money or gift cards, because they had RUN OUT OF ROOM to keep the stuff for distribution. This is Christmas time, and many of the same people who contributed to this 'charity' have already given things, money, and food to the Christmas charities ...
My husband and I have 'extra' money, and I am having TONS OF FUN giving money to charities ... not $1 or $5, but $20 and $40. We'll also give at least $500 to charities that help the homeless, and we'll dress as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and hand out 'goody bags' of things most people do not give on Christmas Eve outside of the shelters ... I don't want your money ... but if you like my idea, then PLEASE GIVE to people who don't have as much as you do. IT IS FUN ... it really is!

Yes, we have several family members that think we are their personal bank.

What really makes me see red is when they comment on where I buy my childrens clothes from---How do you afford that or I wished I could go there---well, get a J.O.B!

Yeah! And I wish they would keep their grubby fingers out of my pockets! They aren't that deep! I have enough trouble trying keep my own kids fed without having everyone want me to feed theirs too. I should have named my son Israel...then I could put a can out with a plea to "Please save Israel"...I'd be rich!
