I've come to the conclusion that Evolution does exist. It seems that every living being on this earth starts evolving and improving. There are several species that adapted to the enviroment in order to perpetuate, of course that evolution takes time and we can't live to see it happening . The only problem is that with our actual intelligence and power of understanding we can't seem to figure out how exactly our galaxy, our home, our planet came to this stage. All we have are theories. Because evolving takes so much time I'm afraid that the end of our race is inevitable since we won't be able to prevent the catastrophyes that will destroy us. And it's also hard to believe that we are alone in the universe who knows what other species evolved, maybe even faster than us. I must also confes that this whole God thing is the most unreliable source that could of lead to our creation, the only proof is a legend that lies within a book wich might have it's truth but it's also far from reallity.

Anyway I'm not skeptical , but I'm just at like 50 % that he ( the creator ) exists, ... but then how did God appeared because i can't posibly imagine something without it's begging and of course ending. I'm also curious why did the year counting started 2007 ago ? Because there where no televisions , newspapers , phones or anything that could possibly let people know about Jesus the son of God , or even about this whole year counting starting from 0.

I am glad you have used some common sense and realized science is a real and usable thing. And that the Bible is, at best, a somewhat accurate historical document.

However, there is nothing that says you cannot have faith in God and use science as well. I am a believer in God who firmly believes that the Earth is 4.55 byo and that evolution is quite real. I believe God allowed man to evolve a brain for a reason: TO USE IT!

The year counting didn't start 2007 years ago, it's just that our christian calendar set the year 0 as to be the year jesus was born (which btw is in discussion atm).
Other cultures do have other years 0.
As for god, one can easily believe that he started the big bang if you think this theory is true. The whole process of a start is hard to grasp anyways and we will never be able to look beyond it unless someone finds out some pretty nice new physics (contradicting much of what we use today).
I'm an atheist btw :D

Uh huh. You don't read do you? We know most everything that happened in the universe after the first millionth of a second. "Theory" in science means fact in reality. Evolution is a fact and a theory. Evolving does not take that much time. It all depends. Flys evolved a new genus in a year, but it would take us a couple of hundred. We are spec on a glass stained window and we probaly will die out. The bible is not true in any way shape or form. There were no jews in eygpt and Jesus is based off the legend of Horus. Who is known as a fictional character.

Harald J...there is NO year zero. It goes from 1 BC to 1 AD, with 1 AD being the year that Jesus was born.

If you mean about the actual date that he was born (your "up in the air" comment), it was probably around 6 or 7 BC actually - do to a less than precise information when this particular calendar was designed in the middle ages.

which perpetuates the question, then...has man evolved? Have we learned anything substative in the last several thousand years ( science not withstanding ) about taking care of one another or the planet we live on. Also, for all our wisdom ( hahaha ) WE HUMANS cannot even create a single thing that does not alreay exsist in the universe...think about that...we can re-create, but not create a thing. Don't get me wrong, but as one great scientist ( Einstein by name ) put it, to paraphrase, how can you look at the universe from the smallest atom to the sheer scope of the universe and NOT think there is someone/thing behind it all. Makes us think...or it should?

Way to think outside the box (or should i say Book). I've felt the same way all my life. Science over religion!

All creatures evolve, but that has nothing to do with how the world was created.

Glad you've sorted out the creation evolution issue.
Perhaps you could share your evidence for evolution with everyone.
