Peppermint tea. Very good for heartburn no caffeine and pretty darn tasty. Try eating peppermint candies or just eat mint leaves. Mint helps with heartburn. See if your doctor will prescribe you some ranitidine. Its prescription grade zantac.

The only thing that has helped me is the prescription I just got last week. It's a miracle drug if you ask me. I take it and the burning sensation in my throat is gone in 20 minutes. I used the same meds in my first pregnancy. I dont like taking meds either, but I make an exception for these meds. I take the generic form of Zantax. I tried all the things that I read about, but none worked, it got worse and worse as I got bigger. I was told not to take too many tums when pregnant. I dont remember why my doctor said it could be bad though.

you might want to check with your doc before taking any medications...but I think you are allowed to take Malox, but since you dont want to take any meds, try drinking some milk.

As far as the heartburn/indigestion is concerned, that is completely normal in pregnancy.

The worst thing you can do is drink milk. Tums is safe to take and has been a really close friend of mine thus far! Try tums. Good luck!

I had such awful heartburn while I was pregnant. I just took two tums, and it always went away. I've felt your pain, and I hope you feel better soon!!

Try tums it is safe when you are pregnant and they have calcium so that is good for the baby. I ate 2 tums sometimes more every night from like week 20 something and my daughter is fine.

I always liked calling my local health food store for natural remedies, I didn't like taking things when i was pregnant either, I can't remember the name of the stuff but thats how i cured my nausea.

Some people find drinking cold milk helps...doesn't help me. Tums is the only thing that would give me some relief.

i agree with the Tums. they work & are safe for the baby. the only other thing that may help is peppermint candy, if you can stumic it. :)
