I find it funny that everyone shoves breastfeeding down your throat, but if you can't it's considered weired for you to get pumped milk from someone else. I see nothing wrong with it, especially scince now adays they screen the milk quite thourally (like donated blood). If I was in the situation where I couldn't breastfeed my son, and if it was ok with my husband I might order some from a bank. I wouldn't consider a wet nurse because I want that time to bond with my child, but other than that I see no reason not to give my child milk that isn't powdered just because it came from another human being.
PS
I have nothing against those who use formula, both my sisters did. I just find it funny that people concider you a bad mother for not breastfeeding, but you choose to use someone elses milk and that's concidered weired too...lol. can't win for loosing...

If it was someone i knew well, like a family member or a close friend, who I could trust that they were healthy and not taking any drugs, sure. I would have no problem with it if I was not able to produce any milk, or was away because of an emergency.

It would depend on the source of course but, most likely, yes I would. I have a friend who desperately wanted to breastfeed her daughter for a year but surprisingly got pregnant when she was only 4 or 5 months I think. She gave her daughter breastmilk from her sister-in-law instead. It worked well for them all.

I had plenty of milk so that was never an issue. My best friend had a ton of milk and gave alot to her sister for her son since she wasn't producing enough (pumped milk obviously). They have milk banks that people can donate to, and another friend of mine got milk there for her adopted daughter. It's thoroughly checked and pasterurized so it's safe. Formula comes from a cow, so I dont see what's gross about using human milk. Both are coming from someone, or something else.

because of the fact maximum formulation feeding mothers have been attacked, interior the previous, for his or her selection. i don't see something incorrect with the question, it wasn't offensive in any way, yet i'm sick of those formulation feeding vs. breastfeeding questions. i think of a great type of persons, not purely breastfeeding mothers, yet in addition formulation feeding mothers ought to only permit it bypass. Who cares how somebody else feeds their new child? it incredibly is their selection interior the tip and no volume of bitching is going to alter that. stay and permit stay, that's my motto.

If I knew the mother and there was a reason I couldn't produce for my child, yes I would...but it would be bottle feedings of breastmilk. I don't believe in using a wet nurse directly.

Definitely if I were unable to breastfeed. That's how much I believe in breast milk over formula.

If he needed it, and I knew she was clean (no drugs, alcohol, etc) then yes, I would. Breastmilk from another woman is still much better/healthier than formula.

I would absolutely not give my baby breast milk from another mother! Who knows what that mother has( disease wise) and besides breast feeding is a bonding experience not to be shared with another mother!
