No, I go by what I feel to be the most informative. If I am voting for someones elses question, If the question appears to be really silly, my vote for best answer would be one that fits the silly question. I never go by the thumbs up. That's based upon other peoples opinion, not mine or what knowledge I may have about the subject.

Not really no. I read all the answers and whichever is the most helpful I pick. But if they're are more answers that are the same i pick the one that was submitted first...

No because too many people give a thumbs down/thumbs up for selfish reasons i.e. to make themselves look good.

Absolutely not, I go with the answer that I like the best. Who cares what everyone elses opinion is, it's your question. And the answer should be yours as well.

Nope, I don't pay attention to those. I go by the answer that a) answers the question b) is best answer for question - whether it be a factual answer or an opinion (depends on topic / question).
