I contact my own insurance company. They're the ones with all the lawyers.

Call your insurance agent immediately and report this. You should have reported this when it happened. Reporting claims late is never a good thing. Don't make it even later. Your homeowners policy has two parts that would apply here. Medical Payments and Liability. Medical Payments will pay for medical costs incurred by others while on your property whether there is fault or not. This coverage has a lower limit between $500 and $5,000. It is lower as fault or negligence does not have to be proven. There was obviously no fault by you in this case. This coverage only pays for medical payments, not lost wages. Then there is your Liability coverage. This protects you from liability when you are at fault. This limit is usually between $100,000 and $1,000,000. For this to kick in, your friend needs to sue you. Now your neighbor who actually caused this incident also would have liability coverage and appears to be the person most likely to have to pay. Tell your "friend" to report this incident to his insurance company. But to be safe, also report the incident to your insurance company. Also, make sure your other friends who all saw this happened agree with your side of the story. Good luck!

The other person insurance. This just happened to me. My BF got into a car accident with my car. The guys was making a U turn and didn't see him coming, and hit him right on the side. He took total blame for everything. So his insurance was suppose to pay for my damages, being that the damages done to my car was more than my car was worth (01' dogde stratus) His insurance just cut me a check for 5 G's.

Get the other driver's insurance information and contact his insurance company. Also, give a courtesy call to your own insurance company and let them know what's happening.

You go through the other person's insurance here in Texas. Unless... the other person does not have enough insurance on their policy. Then, you would have to use your uninsured / underinsured motorist coverage.

There really is no choice in the matter. Once I get the Police Report and the name address and name on the person who caused the accident, My Insurance Co. would contact his for payment of damages.

You are getting confused by the terms here...the nice words, which are just convestion really.. insurance, fault, going through.. car accident etc.
Let me reword it for you and YOU will answer it, I guarantee.
Here's your question as i see it: "if someone smacks into me, who pays?"
now.. doesn't the lack of word embellishment (not that you used much but..) makes it all easier for you to tell the answer?

Here's the same, just simpler so the grammar police will shear you to bits BUT you'll have no confusion whatsoever: "them broke my car, will them fix my car?"
