Some people around campus think that Gore will make another run for president.

Is it too late for him to run?

If not, what are his chances of winning?

I've thought all along that Al Gore would toss his hat into the ring. But it's getting late.

Maybe he'll run as an independent! That way, he can split the liberal vote, and guarantee a Republican winner!

Vote for Rudy!

It's too late this year, the primaries start in January! It'll likely be decided by Valentine's Day. Gore is not on the ballot. The only way he could jump in at this point is if there is such a dead heat that it is undecided all the way to the convention this summer and somehow manages to get all the delegates to vote for him. It would be historic if that happened.

It would probably be too late, but more to the point, I think he enjoys his position as a defender of the environment. He is not constricted by the controls places upon elected officials and is free to throw political bombs at officials of both parties and around the world.

Were he to run, I think his chances would be relatively slim, although he might get an initial "novelty" boost in the polls.

Cheers.

I'd like him to run, he is a brilliant man, he is honest, he is competent, he is a hard worker, all in contrast to the present occupant of the white house. Would he have gone on vacation Aug. 6, 2001 after being given an intelligence report forecasting the 9-11 attacks? Not likely. Would he have started a totally unnecessary and economic suicide war against Iraq just out of his personal spite? No chance at all. So about 6,000 more Americans at least would be alive now if the republican supreme court had not stolen the election of 2000 for Mr. Bush, and of course up to 600,000 dead Iraqis would still be alive, and the dollar would not have dropped 40 % in value because of tax cuts for billionaires. I could go on. You get the point. Impeach the supreme ct.

Those people around campus are dumb then. Why would he run for president, he has no need to. He won't get anything more done as president, which is to say nothing. Why not sit back and ride your old-fashioned polluting jet across the country delivering 1/4 million dollar speeches telling everyone not to do what you do?

It's too late for him to run, he can't get on the ballot in most states. He will not win, even if he were on the ballot. Clinton has way more money then he could ever get - and he is a big cry baby that does not know how to loose well. Think back to 2000!
