I feel bad when I make a mistake. I know people tell you to try and learn from it to help you in the future. But I still feel bad. There have been times when I would try and cover up my mistake or try and fix it before anybody found out about it. It is embarrassing because if you ask my closest friends and relatives, they think I am perfect and can do no wrong. So there is added pressure for me not to make mistakes.

Depends how costly the mistake. Most of the times I feel the same way I do when I’m driving and the vehicle starts to drifts off course which is nothing. I just realize it and make the adjustment and try to stay on track.

If I keep drifting then maybe I need to slow down or park and get some rest or let somebody else drive.

I think a lot of folks need to quit beating themselves up (and others) after every little mistake mainly because your rational mind tends to diminish the more emotionally wound up you get about something.

I need as much of my rational faculties unhindered by useless emotions—especially when I’m struggling with something.

The last thing most people need to hear when they screw up is to have it repeated to them—unless they just don’t have a clue, in which case all the belittling in the world won’t help them anyways.

Heckling does nothing for me since I am not motivated by fear but by what I envision to accomplish. Take care.

It depends on how trivial the mistake is. If it is a mistake that only affects me I feel bad but I will get over it but if it is a mistake that affects others then it is harder for me to accept. It also depends on how embarassing the mistake is and how others react to it, the more embarassing the more humiliating and the more reaction the more embarrassment.

Depends on the mistake. But I never get too worried - life is for living every moment with as much joy as possible not for beating ones self up all the time!

When I make a mistake, I feel somewhat bad about myself but truly we all make mistakes! It's something that helps me learn not to do again or to be aware of what I may be doing. :)

Furious at myself. I hate mistakes, even though I'm aware you do well to learn from them. But I still punish myself harshly for them...sometimes maybe too harsh :-(
