Yes, MOST DEFINITELY!!! Make sure your contractor is license and insured. And the guarantee should be written in writing in detail and stated the length of time.
Do not do business with the contractor that would not guarantee their work in writing. Ask someone who had their roof done for referral. Best of luck.

Average guarantee is 10 years some of newer types 30 years on materials, labor should have a guarantee too! say atleast 10 years cause most problems arise because installation! YES ALWAYS GET A GAURANTEE!!

Reputable roofing companies will generally offer a 25 year guarantee without you even asking.

Just had one put on this last summer! The shingles come with a 20 or 30 year warranty, our roofer guaranteed his guys work for 2 years! Any good contractor would have a guarantee! Good luck!

Absolutely.
You should have the mfr's warranty (which is valid if it has been properly installed by a bonded contractor ).
& the contractor's guarantee on workmanship which can be negotiated in the price.

If someone is licensed for roofing and they are sincere businessmen they will not mind to give a guarantee.
