This question isn't legit so it doesn't really deserve an answer but regardless of how the person looks, if his father is black, he's black. End of discussion.

I grew up in the South - before the civil rights movement.

I can vividly remember rural counties with 3 schools - the white (European-American) school, the "colored" (African-American) school and the "Indian" (native-American) school.

IF you had blue eyes, regardless of hair texture and skin color - and facial features, you were white. If you had dark eyes dark skin and woolly hair, you were black. If you had dark skin, hair that could be combed - and dark eyes, you were Indian.

I remember families of full siblings who went to all three schools.

Indeed, my pastor is "black" but he has straight hair and pale skin (I've seen him get sunburned). His facial features are more Native American than black - but he's a black man. His mother was white. But his father was black. Honestly, you'd swear he was white from appearance.

So yes indeed this can happen. I've seen it.

Now then, my question to you is: Why are you so concerned?

Maybe it's possible for a mixed child to look totally white, but I've never seen it. If he has blonde hair and blue eyes and has all caucasian features, I find it hard to believe that he's mixed.

Yes, it is possible if the recessive genes are expressed.

But there would have to be some white genes in the black father's family tree.

Its possible...if someone in the father's family has caucasion genes because the gene could be recessive, as it is with the blue eyes. So its uncommon, but possible.
