What were the basic tenants behind John Locke’s Second Treatise of Civil Government. How did Americans adopt his theory to suit their own surroundings? How did the interpretation of Locke’s thesis help lead to the American Revolution?

Also, what were the basic motivations for slavery as a system of labor in British America.? Why did British Americans turn to slavery and away from indentured servitude?

I cannot answer the first point, but can attempt the second. Indentured labourers eventually worked their time out. There was only a limited supply, in any event, of people wanting voluntarily to tie themselves into such servitude. Slaves were plentiful, reproduced and had no chance of freedom. At the beginning of the 18th century Great Britain discovered a liking for coffee - which was bitter and needed sweetening. So sugar plantations were opened in the British West Indies possessions. Those plantations needed a great deal of labour - so slaves. When cotton began to be produced in the British American states the slavery system transferred very easily.

I'm assuming this is for school. If so, the benefit of such an exercise is as much to learn about the period as much as to learn how to look things up on your own and draw your own conclusions from what you learn.

Why don't you give wikipedia or your local library a try?
