1. "G'DAY, MATEY," she said as she sidled up to me. G'Day Matey" I said back, even though I'd never been within 2000 miles of Australia. She told me she was from Australia but had attended school in the states. She was living here now and had just moved to the area. She was feeling lonely she said and just wanted some manly company. When she said 6. "I LONG TO BE CLOSE TO YOU. 8. LET'S CUDDLE, YOU HANDSOME HUNK OF HORATIO!!," I was swept away.

We went to the sports bar down the street. I ordered a couple of drinks, and when they arrived she said 9. "ASTI SPUMANTE...... NOW I'M ALL YOURS, BABY." I seemed I could do no wrong with her. 10 "BABY, YOU CAN DRIVE MY CAR anytime," I responded.

We chatted for a while, and it appeared we were going to take a "long drive" together when I glanced at the TV and saw the score. Jumping up I yelled 7. "HOW ON EARTH DID APPALACHIAN STATE BEAT MICHIGAN? WHOOPIE!!!" I had held the Mountaineers 2. CLOSE TO MY HEART
for a long time, but never expected to see anything like that. Pointing at the TV, I yelled to her, "Do you see that? Do you see that?!!! It's amazing!!!! I didn't notice as a scowl crossed her face, but when she said "You're happy about that? That's me beloved alma mater your talking about them beating. And I thought you were the man for me!!!" She stormed from the bar before I could even say another word.

I was disappointed at first, but looking around and seeing all the girls in the place I said to myself 3. NEVER FEAR, she not the 4. LAST STAR TO TWINKLE in your sky."

I didn't find a girl that night, and eventually drove home alone. I still regretted not getting to let that Aussie girl "drive my car" but as I arrived home I still felt pretty good. Settling down in front of the big screen TV I said , 5. "AHHH........ SAFE AT HOME, OFF OF THE ICY STREETS" as I clicked on the TV to catch the Appalacian State highlights on ESPN.
