I want my bike to remain straight up so it looks like it is on display in a museum when I park it. I want put a longer kickstand on my bike so it doesn't lean over to one side when I park it. Anyone know how long of a kickstand I should get?

3" longer.
Don't forget your feather duster.

P.S. The ones on display have tie-downs too.

Well they kind of lean for a reason and that is so they don't fall over. I do know what you mean, my Harley does lean over pretty far but I just bought one of the rubber pads that goes under the stand. It still does not make it near vertical, but again I'm not sure being close to vertical is a good idea. I have personally never seen a longer kickstand advertised anywhere. You could always just cut a small piece of wood the thickness you need to achieve to angle you want.

You may want a slight lean to hold the center of gravity on the kickstand. If, it in a Balanced position it not take much for it to fall the other way. My nephew have my Super Glide now. I left the stock stand, but, bent it a little so she lean over looking cool, ready to mount, with the wheel turned to the right.

damn, confusing luck. i've got under no circumstances seen a kickstand on the suitable component, would not recommend it can't be carried out. Take it to a professional welder, it somewhat is conscious a good deal approximately motorcycles. I assume you will would desire to weld it, to get it on there. in case you have a magnificent component kickstand, are you able to attain it to decrease it? jointly as balancing the motorcycle?

'Harley Davidsons' vary widely in height, and other factors.

You don't want a kickstand to leave the bike standing straight up - or it will fall over as soon as it is bumped into.

You might be able to get (or rig) a workstand onto it to hold it upright - I had one on my '81 kawasaki CSR650, and it was great!!

Like some of us Harley riders, we ride rain or shine. No matter what the weather, we enjoy the open road. If you want, try and put a couple rubber pieces under the kick stand. You don't want to much of an up right postion. or it may fall over the other way. I do know what you mean about the look. After a long ride, pulling in somewhere and having everyone checking out your bike. It is great.

yeah, real good idea. Stand the thing straight up, so that when anyone walks by it, it falls over. If anything I'd like to get an even SHORTER kick stand on mine just to make lean farther, thus harder to get off the stand. Too many A**HOLES seem to think that a sitting bike is an invitation for them to hop on and fantasize. I don't need some silly a** bouncing on my bike muttering " VROOM!! VROOM!!" then knocking the damn thing over, because they know **** about bikes.

rather than making it longer just put spacers under the top of the plate where it bolts on or shave the bottom down so when it is in the down position it holds the bike up more
JP cycles have a verity of kick stands that should meet your needs
