I also watched as this was going on and the transmision your reffering to s they wanted to know where the booster was because they had seen something trailing them, It is a theory that it was a ufo but after the question where is the booster they started talking in code so people around the world would not think they were refering to a ufo,, this is very true

The moon landing took place in daytime in the US. The feeds from NASA and the networks were continuous and live. I watched it live an KNOW that there were no interruptions or "deleted" transmissions. The whole idea of the Moon landings was to be spectacularly open, both to show off American technology and ingenuity, and to show how the "American way" was superior to that of the Soviets who broadcast nothing until after the successful conclusion of their flights. Armstrong NEVER said anything about aborting the mission because he "saw something". The only thought of aborting happened when he "saw" that his landing area was covered in large boulders, among which the LEM could not be landed. He flew the LEM well past the designated landing area to find a smoother site to set down. As he did, his fuel load decreased until he was under 30 seconds when he actually touched down. Had he gone under 10 seconds, he would have had to abort immediately, or crash.

This almost, but not quite nonsense. The facts behind this are well known and have to do with conversion of a low bandwidth television signal from the Moon into NTSC or PAL. Some of the details can be found on this site or linked to it.

Most people understand nothing about television, so they forget the truth and stories like this get substituted. There have been several TV systems, Europe and Australia at least used better TV systems than NTSC (the US standard) in 1969. So Europe and Australia may well have got better pictures than the USA.

Hi. Before the Eagle actually touched down, the computer overloaded and generated an error. Neil Armstrong had to pilot the craft manually to a landing and nearly ran out of fuel before finding a suitable spot to land. I watched the mission live and never heard what was going on (not all the audio was broadcast) and read about it after the fact. This is not a 'conspiracy', just the way it all went down - pun intended.

this question comes up on universal two times an afternoon (that i understand of, perhaps many extra time that i do no longer understand of as i'm no longer on Yahoo! 24/7) so i'm going to given via rebuttal #one million: The Soviets have been at an area race against u . s . a . of america of u . s . a . of america in thew 1960 to get on the moon first. The Soviets had the two the capability AND the want to coach the U. S. lunar touchdown replaced right into a hoax IF it replaced into; they did no longer say something alongside those strains simply by fact they KNEW it replaced into real. Now, for the 2nd merchandise on you record: how come there is not extra touchdown on the moon after that? simply by fact u . s . a . of america of u . s . a . of america grew to become preoccupied with different issues: the Watergate scandal and the Viet-Nam conflict, and the mid-1970's oil disaster, plus the recession, and the disinterest from the final public observed a relief interior the NASA funds. The final human touchdown in 1972 (Apollo 17, December 1972 replaced into the sixth and final human moon challenge) replaced into performed in what replaced into in reality well-known public indifference. Then NASA placed all its marbles interior the gap return and forth, which, attributable to political intervention to make it extra value-effective, grew to become no longer as able because it replaced into meant to be, and actual extra high priced than it could have been had the NASA scientists had their way. Now, for the real thrilling bit, this is your own contradiction: on the single hand you declare that the 1969 touchdown replaced into fake, yet that thay are on the MOON, mining away? I recommend, do you have any thought how complicated a mining operation needs to be on the moon? what share extensive rockets could be mandatory? and that they could have faked the 1st touchdown to hide a good better real touchdown with mining processing centers? think of approximately it.

I remember the same thing Cirric mentioned. During the descent you hear one of the guys yell, "1202! 1202!" I think that was a code for the computer receiving too many commands too close together to process. I read somewhere that mission protocols said this was cause enough to abort the landing but they went ahead anyway. It was very exciting. Walter Cronkite sure freaked when they finally touched down.

The "object" seen was probably either the S IV-B, or the Soviet Luna 15 probe that was in the vicinity of Apollo 11 at the time.

I think you're referring to the UFO they saw on the way to the moon. They saw something trailing them, and didn't want to suggest they saw an actual UFO, so they asked, "Houston, where is the S4-B?" (referring to the 3rd stage of the Saturn booster they jettisoned after it shot them to the moon.) Houston came back & said it was 6200 miles behind them.
Aldrin stated (much later) "What we were seeing didn't look like it was 6000 miles away; it looked like a mile or so." They watched it for some time, then slept - when they looked a few hours later, it had gone.

Sometimes I think they are paying people for making fools of themselves by believing in these stories.

Did you ever try to find the "source" of what you have heard? Or do you think it is enough to repeat everything without even checking? That is how rumors get started, you know.

He saw Geebus on Olympic Mons who told him telepathically to go back. And the rest is history.
