personality!
i would never turn someone down because of looks, because i know if it were to get back to them....and karma came around and i asked a boy out and he turned me down because of my looks i'd be torn.

Both! You have to be attractive because lets face it, you don’t want some ugly guy/girl no matter how good of a personality they have… But then again matter how good looking they are if they have a bad personality your not gonna wanna be with then either… But you also have to think beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Well I won't go for a guy who I don't find goodlooking. But I won't stay talking to a guy if I don't like his personality.
Plus some guys are ridiculously goodlooking, but have this a**hole look on their face, and it's an INSTANT turnoff, and almost automatically makes them ugly.
So really, it has to be 50/50.
Perfect example. When I first met my boyfriend, I thought he was ok, but amazingly funny and nice. A month later, I thought he was cute. A year later I thought he was finnneee. Now I've known him over three years, been with him for a year and a half officially, and I think he's perfect. So lol, personality accounts for a lot.

A lot of people mistake personality for Charisma. no matter how good looking you are, if you don't have Charisma, you can quickly bore others. Even a moderately good looking person can blow a georgeous person out of the water if they have the ability to draw people to them. Personality is such a missused term. EVERYONE has a personality. It's the ability to draw people into your world and make them wonder about you that is what makes a lasting impression.

I go for both... and I totally admit it: I see the looks first, so if the looks are attractive, then that intrigues me and I go for personality.
If the personality is awesome, too, then we have a winner! :)
A lot of people say "oh, I go for personality!" but if they don’t find them attractive, the other person can have the greatest personality on earth, and they wont give in.

Attractiveness is dependant on the 'eye of the beholder' as some people say...for instance, when I first saw him I thought my boyfriend was the most gorgeous thing I had ever seen...however...not everyone else thinks so...but do I care? nope!
His attractiveness is based mainly on his outgoing personality, his talent, his exceptionally great sense of humour and that gorgeous twinkle in his eye...if he were a horrible person I wouldnt find him so attractive!

It is a combination of both, while personality makes up for a lot in looks, looks do not all ways make up for personality

I go for personality. Your looks can be gone in 2 seconds in any accident. Your personality is what makes you the person you are.

Looks are waht first attracts me to a person, but after getting to know them, it's their personality that matters...
Like, I'll go up and talk to a guy because I think he's cute, but if I start talking to him and his personality blows, then I won't even consider him

that is an interesting question but I think you have to be attracted to a person in some way. sometimes it is their personality that makes you attracted to them. everyone always has their perception of what good looking is too. what may be cute to one could be ugly to another.
