i only have 3 people in my class

this is from my Perception class I took a few years ago. Take a washer and hang it from a string on the ceiling. And take a bunch of 3-D lenses and hand one of the lenses to each person in your class. then, swing the washer in a side to side arc... ask them to place the lens in front of one of their eyes.. the "arc" the washer is making will appear to become an oval or circle.

It happens because the lens slows down the light going into that eye by a fraction of a fraction of a second.. and that slight difference is perceived by the brain and translated into motion as depth.

Pretty neat trick.

Interview people by asking them questions about a genetic disease (like diabetes or cancer) that might run in there family and then ask about their general health. The questions are bogus and meant to throw them off. At the end of the interview, ask them to step on a scale that is set 25 pounds too high. Record their reactions. Always an interesting experiment.

How about something like obscure quotes. Come up with something that say Freud or Pavlov said. and have them guess who said it.

maybe do a family tree if you have some psychaitric condition in your family and hypothesize if it is genetic or if conditions are environmental

mabey they could take what they have learned so far and apply it by playing doctor and patient with thier fellow students.
