CD-player and AM/FM and/or Sattellite radio are essential for long trips, as is a roof rack if you like camping/outdoor activities like skiing, kayaking, etc. MP3/WMA capability is a nice bonus.

Side airbags (front are standard) for safety. Automatic windows, locks, mirrors, and seat adjustment are pretty standard on newer models now, but since I don't have them in my car, I am wishing very much that I did.

I think a trip navigator could come in handy if you go to new areas often that you don't know well, and the remote locks/engine starter could come in handy on those cold/hot days to regulate your car's temp before you get in, but neither of those is necessary enough for me to pay much extra for them.

I wish I would have gotten a supercharged Grand Prix. Nav's are cool and a remote starter would be cool also. I also want "double barrel" exhaust tips and some rims.

A real gas waster, environmental polluter and bad for the engine (engines shouldn't be idled for long periods to warm them up). Three strikes and the remote starter is OUT.
