MASTER OF PUPPETS by Metallica. \m/
Probably the heaviest thrash metal album ever created.
With songs like Battery, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Master of Puppets, and Damage Inc., need I say more, even their slow songs like Orion are heavy. The solos, the riffs, the intense drumming, the energy, and lyrics all scream METAL!
Master of Puppets is a heavy metal MASTER PIECE.

Carcass: Necroticism-Descanting the Insalubrious
Suffocation: Pierced From Within
Cannibal Corpse: The Bleeding
Benediction: The Dreams You Dread
Obituary: Cause of Death
Death: Spiritual Healing
Asphyx: Last One on Earth
At The Gates: Slaughter of the Soul
Bloodbath: Breeding Death
Bolt Thrower: The 4th Crusade

Now, those are some really heavy CD's!

Okay, some non-death metal for you;
Solitude Aeturnus: Through the Darkest Hour
Candlemass: King of the Grey Islands
Swallow The Sun: The Morning Never Came
Iced Earth: The Dark Saga
Mercyful Fate: Don't Break The Oath
Metallica: Ride The Lightning
Slayer: Seasons In The Abyss
Overkill: The Years of Decay

First of all "Symptom of the Universe" was on Sabatoge not Master of Reality. Sabbath was indeed heavy, but the question is the heaviest metal album ever. Priest, Sabbath, etc.-I love those bands but they aren't the heaviest. It would be one of the thrash bands. You can throw out say Sepultura, etc and you would be more correct than Black Sabbath or Priest.

Black Sabbath - Master of Reality

I'll give it the edge of Vol. 4 because of "Symptom of the Universe"

Edit: Sorry "I meant Children of the Grave"

Funkadelic Roadie had it right.

Pantera - Far Beyond Driven - Almost all the songs on that album destroy, both lyrically and musically. Vuglar Display of Power was good but not nearly as heavy.

now i love both megadeth and metallica but i just think that your jealous that metallica is more famous and successful then your beloved megadeth and im sick of people all ways saying how bad metallica is just stfu no one cares. its really annoying when people say that because they are great, im not saying that there the best metal band but they are definitely not the worst. and i also think that you would give dave head, even if he didnt want you to
