It means you have achieved the highest grade possible (only about 2% of the student population obtain 1st class hons), which in turn means it's hard to obtain. It takes a lot of work and dedication, a real understanding of your subject and an original approach to your work.To do all this successfully you MUST balance all the work with a good social life and fun.

More important than all this though is not to put pressure on yourself by setting your sights too high before you've even started, you're only setting yourself up for failure.

Or if with OU this is 85%+. It means you have little social life! Joking it depends on your committment

Im told that the average UK degree grade is a 2:2, Lower 2nd class level.

But remember if youre a young student, as opposed to a mature one like me, University is also about your social life before you finally enter the big bad world. So work hard AND play hard
