All eukaryotic cells (which include the cells found in elephants and fruit flies) are roughly the same size. When I say roughly, I mean within a power of ten. Prokaryotic cells (bacteria and archaeans) are considerably smaller than eukaryotic cells, but you didn't ask about that, did you? As the other answerers said, elephants just have many, many, many more cells than a fruit fly. I hope that helps! Good luck.

Cells are pretty much the same size no matter what species you are. The bigger you are the more of them you have. This is because all cells share certain basic chemical processes that are bound by the same laws of diffusion and perfusion.

They are the same size. An elephant just has MORE cells
