It is easy to say the Black Sox, but that one doesn't really bother me. It was a group of players telling their owner that they didn't appreciate him treating them like commodities. So they intentionally threw the World Series so he wouldn't make as much money.
Pete Rose gambled, but in the end, it didn't really affect the game that much.
Barry Bonds used illegal drugs to get an advantage and break records and make it to the World Series. So that gets my vote.
It isn't scandalous if a team is 40-100 and the coach puts a bunch of subpar players out on the field because the season is lost, so why is it bad that a group of players decided to not win the World Series? Landis banned the players even though they were acquitted of the charges by a judge. And even though Shoeless Joe was banned, MLB felt free to use him to make some money by naming him to its All-Century team. If I were ever commissioner of the MLB, I would life the Black Sox ban and I would allow Rose to enter as a player, as he is the all-time hits leader. I would keep him banned from entering as a manager.
It should be noted that White Sox management was aware of the fix, as Joe Jackson had asked to be benched so that no one would think he was involved.
**EDIT**
Did you know the commissioner who banned the Black Sox players banned more people than any other commissioner in history. Including some banishments because players did not want to play for their teams.
Also don't forget that George Steinbrenner is still banned for association with a known gambler and for hiring a PI to discredit Dave Winfield.
**EDIT 2**
The Black Sox scandal went into motion after Comiskey benched Eddie Cicotte at the end of the season because he had a clause that would pay him a $10,000 bonus if won 30 games. He was benched and missed two starts and finished with 29 wins and no bonus. The greed went both ways.

From Chicago the Black Sox Scandal they haven't won the world series until 2005 and they had amends with the Baseball Hall of fame to reinstate Shoeless Joe, they won't let Bonds in Cooperstown and Rose was banned from the Game since I was 13 years old, the Worse here is really gotta bring the best in people and the White Sox have gotten over their Scandal and their Curse what about Cincinnati and San Francisco, when they die Bonds and Rose will still be kicked out of Cooperstown .

I would say the Black Sox because it involved throwing the world series. I think that Rose was not that bad compared to the black sox scandal. He bet on his own team and other games that he was not involved in. Bonds is worse than Rose, in my opinion, because it has hurt the integrity of the game. If you take steroids then you get an unfair advantage over other players that don't. It also makes the stats insignificant.

Well, Bonds seemingly broke the law, but didn't really violate MLB drug policy as it was written at the time, so I'd probably exclude him. Not that he's my favorite guy, but his troubles seem related to the law more than baseball.
As for the others, I agree that the Black Sox scandal is far worse. Not only were the players banned from the game, but their exploits were what led to the rules being on the books for Rose to violate. I'm not a fan of Pete Rose, but he didn't actually throw any games, whereas the Black Sox impacted the outcome of a World Series.

The Black Sox...they knew they were doing wrong (except Shoeless Joe).
Pete Rose gambled as a manager, his accolades as a player should have never been shunted.
Barry Bonds...I blame MLB and the Commissioners office more than players. Took the Powers That Be too dang long to get serious about steroids!

I think Pete Rose has been villified by the league and they need to lay off. I think Barry is a flat-out liar but the Black Sox scandal the worst of them all. They not only threw games, they threw games at the pinnacle, the World Series. People work so hard to get to that point and u flop? Just terrible.

I'd say Rose. I know what Bonds did was wrong, but he did it to "become" a better baseball player, get more stats, make more money, be more famous and get more glory. These are things that all ballplayers would like, he just cheated to do it, and other than that, his only problem is that he is an arrogant jackass.
The Black Sox was pretty bad. But I've read articles talking about how fixing games was practically mainstream back then (sort of like steroids now). Players didn't get paid even close to what they make now (even accounting for inflation) so they had more of an interest in making extra money. This was probably the only time the series was fixed, but I'm sure people within the game couldn't have been that shocked it happened.
Rose seems like a different deal. You could say he is really competitive and he always needs that next thrill. But Rose had a gambling disorder, and he probably mismanaged his own team to make money. I don't know if the actual act is worse than Bonds or the Sox, but the motivation and the story behind it seems much more sad.

They're all terrible.
But if I really had to pick one it'd be "1919 Black Sox Scandal".
The Black Sox scandal started out as a few gamblers trying to get rich, and turned into one of the biggest, and easily the darkest, event in baseball history.
For those of you who didn't know what it was: The Black Sox Scandal refers to a number of events that took place around and during the play of the 1919 World Series. The name "Black Sox" also refers to the Chicago White Sox team from that year. Eight members of the Chicago franchise were banned from baseball for throwing (intentionally losing) games

Black Sox by far. A group of players were attempting to fix World Series games for money. That could have been the end of the sport then and there.
