Sulfur is generally the cause of that rotten egg smell, but it could be something else. Sulfur can get into your water in many ways, especially if you don't use tap water. If this is a new occurence and your water has never had this smell before you can see if someone would check it out, as there may be a leak in a pipe or something. A fun fact: high concentrations of sulfur in the water supply can be caused by volcanic activity.

You can ask your boss to install a charcoal filter on the sink and that should take care of the problem.

most likely, your boss is right. Sulfur is probably the culprit. A new water filter should fix that.

it's a backup from sewer or old pipes! if water is from well i say sewer water filter in some where, close rail road tracks not effecting it..you have an oily taste..
