favre and manning definitely warrant consideration, but for #3 i have to go derek anderson. he has 1 more td pass than manning and only 40 fewer yards (both have the same number of int's). they both have 3 rushing td's but anderson has 60 yards compared to -7 for manning. favre has a ton of yards, but he was inconsistent early, as was manning. anderson has been strong every week that he started. remember that he also only played about half of the week one game, so he could have easily been ahead of manning in every category.
WINNER: ANDERSON

This is a no brain er to me. HANDS DOWN it is Brett Favre! He is the reason Green Bay is back to its elite status and his fantasy numbers are off the charts. Besides a rocky start and getting injured last week, he has been consistently great and he has made young receivers look great. I love Derek Anderson and I would place him closely behind Favre, but I still think Favre is better and he doesn't have Braylon Edwards who I think is a top 3 receiver and Kellen Winslow, who is arguably the best tight end this year. Plus, Jamal Lewis is one of the best backs this year, especially in goal line situations. All of these weapons really help Anderson, and just imagine what Favre could do with those weapons. Also remember that Green Bay just recently added a running game with Ryan Grant, so defenses have been game planning the pass all year, which makes what Favre is doing even more impressive!

Well, all us experienced fantasy players are 'scared' to make him our #1 on the roster or to trade for him, but Anderson has been the man. And every year, there is a QB that goes from outside the top 10 drafted QB's - to inside the top 5. This is Anderson's year. And if you can find that guy every year, he is a great draft pick.
A few years ago, it was Drew Brees and Carson Palmer. I got them those years. This year, I reluctantly went for V Young - knowing he had no support. But hoping and thinking he will make it work - didn't quite work out. I even paired him with Alex Smith - thinking he would improve on last year. Well, he went backwards in a big way.
I am still contending - without any issues. My team proves you can win without the Big 3 QB's. But geeze - NO ONE - if they admitted it - considered Anderson to be where he is today. So, if Anderson is in your pool to pick from, it is him without a doubt.

I gotta go with Favre too. I mean this guy surprised everyone when he came back this year, but to have an MVP like year? That was something no one thought would happen. He's had a great year, he actually hasn't thrown too many INTS this year, and best of all, he has led his team to a 10-2 record, something nobody would've of thought. I gotta go with Favre, he's just a great overall player.

It has to be between Favre and Anderson.
And I shall give my vote to D. Anderson as no one has expected him to perform so well as a replacement.
