that people mistake Downtown Detroit for the actual dirty, high crime rate Detroit. Did you realize there is a differance?

HyperGforce, the point was if you knew the differance.

Grinchy pooh, downtown is all businesses, no real housing to speak of, besides over priced apartments. The housing areas on the outskirts of the city are where the real dangers are. I have no problem driving around the downtown areas after dark, but the neighborhoods are another story.

I could safely assume that because downtown Philly is not the same as the rest of Philly!!!

Just like every other big city - there are all different kinds of neighborhoods throughout.

Downtown Philly is relatively safe and is the business center of the city. A VERY expensive place to live.

Detroit, I can assume, is VERY similar to Philly!!!

So, Downtown Detroit is not dirty and crime ridden but Detroit is?

Where does 'downtown" begin and regular old Detroit end?

Longitude and Latitude coordinates, please.
