Oh... some of you clearly didnt get the sarcastic undertones... o_O? Asif I would ever actually do that?! I was more asking have you ever thought it, and what gift was it? Sigh......

Aww Keith, that is so cruel! Of course I would never do that, I was watching a comedy show and this is what this hillarious woman said.. I thought it so funny, and yes you do get crap gifts sometimes and you do chuckle about it later, but never to there face! :(

I'm a veteran who's suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Last year, someone gave me a DVD box set of World War Two documentaries. They thought just because I was in the forces, I would like that kind of thing. I didn't have to say or do anything, my wife (at the time) freaked out on that person on my behalf.

Well I have never don this and would not.
Only thing I can say is one Christmas, my ex wife gave here father a gift, a traffic symbol if his car broke down.
He replied "What a crap gift"
Well she cried and I could not under stand him.
A gift is given with the best intentions, well perhaps you do not get it right, but you are trying?

Not at all. Nothing given to me freely and out of the goodness of a person's heart has ever sparked that type of a reaction.
Afterall, it was a gift..not a purchase. It costed me nothing;
the very least I could do was not hurt the person's feelings.

No. If I inadvertently begin to act I will check myself into a clinic or look into my eye ball in the mirror to see if I can see a little green man in a control room there.

ha ha, no but I have wanted to say that or something similar!
For one of our wedding presents (we got married in November) we got a porcelain cookie jar in the shape of a turkey that held matching salt & pepper shakers, I was like, um, okay, I guess it was because Thanksgiving followed shortly after, weird :) It was from my husband's mother's friend, so we didn't have to worry about her coming to our house to see it NOT prominently displayed, lol

last christmas my grandma got me a britney spears cd and a winnie the pooh fleece jacket so yes that has happened to me

yes I'm guilty of it it was a pair of bear clawed salad tossers and it was my mother's boyfriend when they got back from Alaska... to tell you the truth I have never even used them
