The final payout with these type of insurances is not very much and you'd probably do better putting the equivalent monthly payment into a high interest savings account.

There are a lot of these policies on the market. I personally would not bother with the ones that need to give you a present or even have to advertise on TV because you have to pay for the present and the advert in the long run. Best to go to one of the larger established companies such as The Prudential, Norwich Union, etc Ours is with The Sun Life of Canada but the kids pay for it we don't. You only get the money when you die and it no use to you then only the kids get the benifit so let them pay. Oh yes also if they take anyone without a medical they are taking a bigger risk and you have to pay for that as well

Why would anyone buy a financial product on the recommendation of the fluff head who played "Eth" in that old radio show? It would be the same as taking the word of an out and out chancer such Mr Gordon Bean, our Scottish Prime Minister.

. I have three with sun life . the sooner you take them out after you are fifty the better . i am thinking of taking one with the post office they are a good deal , there will more than enough for my funeral. and leave some for my children, and i can spend my money now . i have given all the policy s to my daughter so all she has to do is make a phone call when i pop off.

You don't purchase something so vital as insurance without 1st doing your homework. Check into several well known companies, compare rates, buy.

My father in law did and paid much more in than his estate got back when he died . They do make this clear these days but did not then. They are not with profits policies
