I got a red wine stain out of a white carpet with Oxyclean and boiling hot water. You just make a paste out of it with the water and use a scrubby brush to really scrub the stain out. It was a few hours old when I did it, I'm not sure how it will work on a very set in stain. It might even be in the padding under the carpet. You should try to use the steam cleaner after the Oxyclean to pull any residual staining from under the carpet. I hope this helps! Have a good day and happy holidays!

go to a carpet store they have stuff especially made for stains, what some people don't realize is that carpet is made from wool, nylon, cotton, polyester, recycled 2 liter bottles, not every cleaner will work the same on every stain. I used to use a produt called NYLAC that I got from a carpet store it even removed engine grease, the only other thing i could suggest is good old dawn dishing washing liquid, put a little on the stain rug it in and use the shampooer to remove it thoroughly and don't walk on it use white towels to cover the area, what happens is the coffee, tea etc, soaks throught the carpet to the pad and the pad acts like a sponge you walk on the carpet and you suck the stuff back through to the carpet.

Woolite Heavy Traffic spray rug cleaner is the absolute best. When the spot happens or later, when it's dry.
Spray foam on spot and let it sit a few minutes. Use a dry cloth diaper balled up and scrub the area with it. It absorbs the soil with the cleaner. Let it dry, vacuum. If spot is still kinda visable, spray again (usually gets mine the first time).
Once I tried this, I have never used anything else and never encountered anything it couldn't remove. The cloth diaper may be part of the success, I don't know. I use cloth diapers to clean all over my house (washable, reusable, lint free and inexpensive).
My house has always been full of kids, gardeners and anyone else who insists on dragging stuff in onto my beige carpet.
Good luck.

I use goo gone and a steam carpet cleaning machine. It works wonders. I put liquid goo gone on the stain for about 5 minutes. Then I use a steam carpet cleaning machine with the pet stain cleaner (hoover brand). It works every time.

There is a product called Bioclean in your organic isle of the supermarket. I had the same problem, used multiple things including oxyclean & steam cleaned & shampood carpets. bioclean worked. Remember it goes into the padding under the carpet too. Hope this helps.
P.S. Bioclean is online too.

I use to laugh till I saw it first hand and I have used it myself. And being a man, if a cleaning item caught my attention, it must work LOL.
Oxi-Clean.
Use double the dose in hot water in a spray bottle. It will take anything out. I've seen it (after 4 treatments) take out a purple marker that leaked out onto beige/white carpet. It takes out cat puke stains for me.
Works great on curtains as well, just soak them. Or have stained clothing, just soak it for hours.
Seeing the stuff on info commercials I always thought it was junk. You do have to use double the dose normally to get it to attack bad items. But I like the stuff.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work wonderfully on carpet stains. I, too, have light beige carpeting and it has taken some really bad stains out of my rugs. I'm not sure that I would use it on darker carpeting, but on colors like yours and mine, it's fine.

Oxyclean mixed with water and a degreaser product. My granddaughter ate in front of the tv when she was little and you can imagine the stains. I used oxyclean, degreaser plus and water, spray it on let it set a few minutes and use a scrub brush to get the stain up. Works great.
