If I put a drop of lemon in a fizzy drink will it take away the fizz?

If not what else could I put in there to take away the fizz?

Lemon will not take out the fizz. The only way to take away the fizz is to leave the drink setting out without a cap for days, then you get a sugary syrupy drink instead of a fizzy one.

sugar or bread ... be careful with sugar though ... the results are kinda fast .... and messy
