Be associated with The WWE?
Seriously, look at all the horrific scandals in The WWE in the last 2 Years. talk about the kiss of death for a career in Hollywood.
If I was The Rock I wouldn't touch WWE with a Ten Foot Pole right now either. The man has a brain, He's not a mark off the street.

So, Your thoughs on this?

I do respect The Rock for his decision, and I think a lot of fans need to stop d*ckriding him already. He is not the greatest thing to happen.

People keep saying that he turned his back on the WWE. However, The Rock left for Hollywood years ago and returned for a while to rival a couple of wrestlers, including Bill Goldberg. Why can't people accept the fact that people move on from one occupation to the next? Is this something new? Revolutionary? NO!

I always give honest readings. If something negative comes up though, I will try to help the person see the positive sides of that--if there are any. Generally, there is always a way to make the reading seem more positive from the idea that the glass is half-full instead of half empty. I do not like people that give just negative readings and do not give the person any advice. In my years of experience with Tarot I have found the cards always give advice. There is always a way to give the person the information but not make it seem as negative as some other people might because I find that to be wrong. No one is ever doomed, and nothing is set in stone with regards to Tarot. Tarot is a very accurate and powerful tool, but things/people/choices can change and that can change their future. I don't like people that leave things on a negative note when giving a reading because no one should ever do that. If a person came for a reading they came for honest answers, but they also don't want to leave feeling worse than when they came in!

Hmm...are you implying Johnson should be concerned about "The Rock" being associated with steroids? He wasn't there during the worst scandal ever to hit the WWWF/WWF/WWE. Maybe if this large man re-appears on a WWE program people might start to question?

"Movie Stars", "Rock Stars", "Authors", freaking "Race Car Drivers" appear any- and everywhere for self-promotion. This is a big deal for the WWE. "The Rock" was instrumental in making RAW and Smackdown as successful as they were. If Dwayne Johnson can't (or won't) make the time to reprise his role (even for two minutes via satellite) to help celebrate the company that made him famous, and to give his fans perhaps one final performance, then I think he's going to lose some fans.

It has nothing to do with being a "mark". It's business. Why would anyone do something to alienate a large segment of their fan base? He ain't exactly Jack Nicholson or Robert DeNiro. Those names sell movies (and DVDs). He's not even "The Rock" anymore, he's just Dwayne Johnson. Who? Exactly.

I do agree that it is much better for him to keep distance from WWE and not to return for wrestling matches e.t.c

However, besides the scandals that happend in the WWE the past years,The Rock making a mistake by forgeting the company that made him famous and used them as springboard to movies and Hollywood...
I am not asking for a wrestling match or a full time return,i just want to make an appearence for 10 mins to delight his fans and not say something via vide tape...

He has a brain and he is clever enough, that's why he keeps distance but i pray god that The Rock will never be into a poor condition with money e.t.c cause if he will be into that and asking for a wwe contract to get help..They may have change their minds in the WWE...

It is better to stay somewhere in the middle in my eyes..for example make an appearence for 15th Raw Anniversary and making an appearence at Wrestlemania 25...not only movies and movies...

The Rock can't be blamed for leaving wrestling for an acting career. He's the one person who left wrestling to act and was successful at acting. Those who have left and returned weren't successful in Hollywood.

Hulk Hogan (kiddie films), Triple H (cameo appearances), The Undertaker (made cameos in a sci-fi movie or two on the Sci-Fi Channel some years ago) ... none of them saw any success acting ... that's why we still see them wrestling today. They are wrestlers who can't really act outside the ring ... Their work is bet viewed in the Squared Circle.

Less wear-n-tear on the body and more time for family, who wouldn't pick this over being on the road 300+ days a year?

I don't blame the Rock at all.

Right now, he's focused on a career in Hollywood. He knows that in order to become a bigger star, then he's going to have to remove as much of an association with wrestling as possible. He wants to be taken serious as an actor.

Don't get me wrong. It'd be awesome to see him again in WWE, but that's not what he wants.

Ok, since this is a serious question!!

I agree with the Rock!!! Everybody thinks the Rock is saying screw the WWE!!! But he isn't, so he wants to be a movie star!!! And............if U was a wrestler and wanted to do something else U would do the same!!!! And don't say U wouldn't!!! WWE has the goverment on thier tail because of roids!!! So, that would be bad publicity for someone who wants to do something else now!!!! Damn, it's his life!!! Let him be what he wants to be!!! And that is Dwayne Johnson, the actor!!!!

i respect him for doing what he wants and that is making movies....that is his choice so be it.....but one day something may happen and he may need to fall back on wrestling and get denied a contract cause he did not keep in contact or do a few appearances..and WWE does help promote his movies and books by giving them the time to talk about them on the air when they are there....

2007-12-06 06:56:30 · answer #8 · answered by PhenomWoman 6 · 2 0

agree and disagree. i still think he should show vince some apprectiation for all the wwe did for him. its not like everyone doesnt still associate him to wrestling anyways and i dont think it would hurt his career at all to make a 1 time appearance just to cut a quick promo and be done again for another 3-5 years.

also look at how fast he comes back when its time for him to promote a movie. almost all of him movies the wwe has helped promote.

I can imagine if The Rock doesn't want to. He is the Peoples Champion. But he's also a very busy man. He is Mr. Hollywood. But I think somwhere inside him, he wants to come back and lay the smackdown.
