Nope, there is no fee for transferring your money from your savings to your checkings account - online. Hey ! they are your accounts in the same bank !

Shouldnt be a fee if you do it online or with paper at the bank. That is if it is the same bank. Now if you are transfering from one bank to another you can use a check. If you are transfering from a foreign bank to US bank the govt may have fees.

In general, banks make their money of administrative services like transactions, wire transfers..etc. Unless the explicitly tell you that they do this for free, dont count on it. You are getting charged a fee.

I am not familiar with your bank but usually if you do the transaction on line, there is no fee. If you call the telephone banking line there is a fee.

South African banks are a rip off. They charge you for saving money. Thet charge you on the interest earned. They charge you for withdrawing your money. They charge you for not withdrawing or depositing or acknowledging small interest earned, i.e. they charge you for ignoring them. I hope the enquiry will knock some sense in their brains!!!
