I looked online and can't find anything.

I have a threatened abortion right now....so I will probably miscarry soon.
They haven't ruled out ectopic yet, I need another exam tomorrow.
But they said it's eccentric/ecentric (dunno how to spell)

What does that mean???

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized ovum implants at a site other than the endometrial lining of the uterus. Ectopic pregnancies occur in the fallopian tube in 97% of cases, with 55% in the ampulla; 25% in the isthmus; 17% in the fimbria; and 3% of cases within the abdomen, ovary, and cervix.

the word eccentric means not normal in odd location in another sense

I work in the medical field and I can honestly say that I have never heard that term used before. I would think that its meaning would be a pregnancy away from the norm, meaning not in the uterus where the embryo usually attaches. It may not be ectopic, but it could be that it attached itself somewhere else. I hope the best for you. Good luck!

i am not a hundred percent sre, but I think it has something to do with the heart, either yours or the babies. i found a few things in line but they are all written in doctor speak and I couldn't get much info from them. I think the also call it an interstitial pregnancy. If I find a version that us ppl without Ph.D's can understand I'll edit this and let you know.

some doctors use the word eccentric rather than phantom,if you have no sac ,no pole,i am afraid you are not pregnant, and yes the other answer was right when she said it means odd ,that is true

Do you mean ectopic?

It means the pregnancy is in the wrong place, usually in the Fallopian Tube. This can cause some serious problems as the baby develops.
