The rest of the questions seem rather boring today...
At least I'm trying.

I'm going to go with The Ramones. The differences between Joey and Johnny were astounding1
If your not familiar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ramones...
It's amazing they stayed together as long as they did.

Had the main members not died, Ramones likely could have at least done a reality show. I'd set the TIVO for that in a heartbeat.

Another group that would be perfect in a sitcom would be Mindless Self Indulgence. For lack of a better explanation, all the members are freaking nuts. If you ever have a chance to go back and read past magazine interviews they've given, there was never a moment they were serious. Always joking around, making wisecracks, etc. Of course, this sort of sitcom would only be effective if it were on HBO.

I would agree that The Ramones would've made an excellent choice for a sitcom. It's very rare you encounter a band with that much character...each member -- from Joey to Dee Dee -- having distinct personalities.

I guess another interesting band like that suitable for a sitcom would've been Marilyn Manson and Co. Not a big fan, but the shock value probably would've been classic.

Good pick Rckets on MSI!

LOL - no kidding Master C!

Perhaps the "Los Lonely Boys". Their lively mix of Tex-Mex, funk, and jamrock would be the perfect band dynamic for the next new sitcom.

The band also has 3 people whose last name is Garza. I call them "Los Hijos Garza"---The Garza Brothers. Remember the sitcom "Three's Company" and you will see why the Garza's are the newest "three's company" in LLL.

The best song by the Los Lonely Boys is "Heaven", and it could be used as any future sitcom theme song. "Heaven" has a "slow dance" funk sound that sounds highly romantic.

Addendum.....

Some of the "unknown" funk and jazz ensembles had been involved in the cheesy sitcom shows of the 1970s and 1980s.
For instance....

"Barney Miller" had a theme song from a funk band that I don't know. "Welcome Back Kotter" had a theme song from a contemporary pop group that I didn't know, and "The Jeffersons" had a theme song by a gospel group I don't know.

Three Times One Minus One!

Oasis would be pretty awesome if you put them in a small house and slapped on a laugh track. There is nothing like eccentric rock stars with out of control egos. Especially when you put in the sibling aspect and the fact the Liam is just a ridiculous dude.

******************
That would be sweet. Albarn could pop by every now and again and be like "hey man why are you guys so mad all the time, I just want to hang out and write songs about shopping malls and telephones."

Kudos on the question. the Ramones would've been great. I love the banter between NOFX, I think they would work. Also, Pantera had a great chemistry with one another, but alas... (R.I.P. Dime!!)
How about a reformed Korn, given Head's recent conversion to Christianity?
Or maybe a reality show: 'Who could live with Johnny Rotten longer than a month?'

I represent the modern era, LOL. I think From First to Last would fit perfectly. They joke around non-stop. They once went to a haunted house just for the hell of it.
