I think , girls, what our wonderful question poster is trying to say is use tact and compassion. Don't just blurt out "get a test!" and act like the person is stupid. Some people have no one else to talk to and this is their only support. As sad as that is it is true for some. Others may only have limited support or are afraid to talk to someone they know about it. Ease up, show some compassion, show some love......some of the people asking may also be young...you just never know!!!

Everyone is different, and I basically agree with you. Our bodies are different, but looking for advice is not a crime. Bottom line, no one can tell for sure if a woman is pregnant or not without a test, but many other woman might have some insight or sympathy to share. That is generally what an asker really wants. We should be encouraging each other to take a test and not putting each other down for being afraid too. I was married and TTC, but it can still be scary to go to the store and buy a test. We all worry about being judged at some point. I think we should back off with nasty comments... don't answer the question if all you are going to do is make someone feel bad.
Just a note - sometimes people need to just hear the truth and sometimes the truth is not so nice, but that doesn't give us the right to be bitches to each other!

I agree with you on some of the issues. It is just so easy to say get a test. What I think ome people are really asking is that could I be pregnant. Some already know the answer, They have taken 3 tests and all said no. They just want someone to tell them there might still be a chance. I always try to answer honestly. I have had three pregnancies, two of which gave me beautiful children. The other ended in a miscarrige.
I don't believe in young unmarried people getting pregnant and wanting me as a taxpayer to pay for the child. I say if you are old enough to make the decision to have sex then you are old enough to go the store and buy protection.

the reason i sometimes give a sarcastic answer to those kind of questions is because most of the people on this website are not going to be doctors right?? we're just people giving opinions... so how can someone imagine that we know more then they do, especially with a situation regarding their own bodies?? " i had sex last week am i pregnant?" "well gee, i dont know, are you??" it's common sense what kind of answer are you looking for?? women who come on this message board are usually pregnant women looking for advice to things she DOESNT already know the answer to.. maybe can't get a hold of her doctor yet.. or is curious about it.. bottom line is, she's already pregnant. and theres only one way to tell if you are and thats by taking a test.... thats why it can be annoying to keep reading pretty much the same question over and over... your 19 years old? me too. how is it that you don't know that you cant get pregnant from swimming in a pool with your boyfriend??
your taking it all too personally.

"I'm the best on here some of you aint". You do realize this is the INTERNET and being the best on here really doesn't matter, right? I have 79 best answers but does that make me better than you? No.
I'm tired of the "Am I pregnant" questions because most come from immature teen girls that have no right having sex in the first place. If you are THAT uneducated about sex not to know that you can get pregnant then you shouldn't be having it.
Also, look up the symptoms of pregnancy yourself! It's really not that difficult to find them on Google. AND if you are late for your period, TAKE A TEST like everyone else does. It's not rocket science.

People have no compasion! Some people are in difficult situations and actually need real help! I guess they just want the 2 points?! Pretty sad if you ask me. I always try to find questions that people need answers to. Not what hairstyle should I wear today and silly stuff like that. Taking the time to help someone could make the world a better place....at least for a moment to someone!

I think most of the ladies who ask these questions, have no idea how many times this exact question has been asked. the people who complain are the ones who are on here the most, cause you see the same question every 5 minutes.
the askers are probably newer users to yahoo, or dont visit the pregnancy section very often. i think if they knew how repetitive it was they would not ask. so they should be given a break, and some respect. i do agree with you that some people are REALLY rude on here, but i have chosen to ignore them and so should everyone else. they are mean to others to build themselves up-just like kids do.

I think that it is a very odd question. Like walking down the streets of New York and asking strangers am i pregnant.?. Most people who ask that question leave out things like when was the last time you had sex, did you use protection? Have you missed your period? Are you getting sick (morning sickness)... etc- even those things can be something else. Its something that you would need to talk to your doctor about. People who do alot of physical activity's can loose their period for a few months. If your throwing up it could be the flu, or food poisoning. If you think that you are pregnant... take a test. :) Its hard answering those questions...

Sometimes repetitiveness can get on peoples nerves. I do also think it is a bit ridiculous to ask people on the internet if they can tell you if you are pregnant. Many pregnancy symptoms can be mistaken for other ailments.
The only true way is to either take a pregnancy test or go to your doctor. I can understand when people are a bit rude to other people asking for advice on if they think they are pregnant or not.
I mean...has the person had sex w/out a condom? Have they skipped your period? Is their period normal to begin with?
When i thought i was pregnant a long time ago, the first thing i did was go and buy a pregnancy test! Duh!!!

i agree with you i think people need to be considerate and really think before they answer a question. and if they are trying to be rude and get 2 points go to another area. i have asked a lot of serious question and when it is serious and people need the help that when you get the ignoramus out. but when you ask simple question you get more real answers. people before you read questions think could this be a serious question if not just say he i am just stated an opinion for 2 points. well hope i helped a little good luck to all. i try to be more of a serious answer then a goofball.
