Do they actually think that moving a closer to the rotation and picking up a closer is going to improve this team? They need more bullpen help, a 3rd baseman and another good starter and another outfielder when they lose rowen. They can shove those tickets up their a#$! Someone give gillick a b-12 shot please! Big market team with a small market mentality.

Well, I would have to say that thanks to the Marlins and Nationals in the same division the Phillies should be a lock for third but that's it. And Gillick is another one of the idiots of pro baseball. You would think after 2007, they would continue to build on what got them as far as they went. But like you said --- Big City, Pea-Brain Mentality.

They need some help but they seem to be content to stand pat and do nothing unless they have plans that are under the radar. But if they don't then I don't know exactly how good the Phillies will be next year.

they traded micheal bourne,freddy garcia, and wes helms for a releiver on the astros. They kept everyone else. I know because tha Phillies Are my Favorite team and i pay close attention to them. I also know because my real dad lives in New Jersey and he loves the Phillies and gives me updates a3bout them all the time.

Well they might move Iguchi to 3rd,but no they never do anything creative,No push for Santana and they are going to lose Rowand which I knew would happen.I hope I'm wrong.

They should be in the mix in 2008. I do agree with you, they do need some pitching help.
