My ex owes me a lot of money and recently, I found out he has been spreading mean lies about me. He is telling people he never loved me, that he used me, etc.......... Anyways, he works for me and his checks come under my name. In the past, when someone did my ex wrong and money was involved, his attitude was to never pay them back and keep their money. Should I do the same here? We are having a family meeting today regarding this ordeal and I have his last check under my name. Should I keep the check and do the same he has done to others? He owed someone 5000 dollars many years ago and never paid him cause he claimed this person said bad things about him. Should he get a taste of his own medicine or just give him all his money and move on????????

The checks are in my name cause he doesn't want to pay child support for his 3 kids. He asked to put them under my name to avoid child support.

If he legally works for you, withholding his paycheck for personal financial debts could get you in a lot of trouble. You need to pay him his money. As for what he owes you, if he refuses to pay you back, you could go through the pain of small claims court, or choose to count it as a loss and an expensive life lesson.

Low life son of a *****. I'd turn him in for non payment of child support. You are contributing to that too you know. That's illegal lady. File a claim in small claims court. The b@stard needs to be behind bars though.

When he told you he wanted to hide money from HIS children, that should have shown his maturity level and trustworthiness. If a man will not support his children he is useless and will always be worthless.
In answer to your question I would say "It is never right to do wrong, but it always right to do right.

You can't do evil for evil because it has a way of coming back on you. Resolve the issue diplomatically.

Why do his checks come in your name? Sounds like you have alot of other problems to deal with that your not disclosing here, so pay him, and fire him.
