You should not follow external, social standards of "ideal size." Did you know that, for sake of marketing strategy for profits, ALL retail clothing companies "change" their size tags to make people feel better or worse about themselves? And the commercial clothing sizing is also different from the sewing patterns in fabric stores. Even the general "size chart per height" is not quite reliable, as the consensus must have came from the vast population. Just focus on what is healthy for YOU: if you are anemic, feel tired all the time, have diabetes, or any health problems that hinder your activity level, THAT is the measure of what is right for you. I had a co-worker, whose height is 5'5, and being at a size 10 is right for her because her body is large-boned. She exercises every day and eats healthy. Whereas, I'm 5'6 and 120 lbs is right for me because I'm small-boned. It's all a matter of your bone structure. Trust me, Victoria's Secret models, averaging 6' and being 115 lbs or less, are waaaay too skinny and should NOT be our role models.

I wear anywhere between a size 5 to a size 8, and I am 5'4" and just had a baby 6 months ago. Depending on the tightness of the shirt I wear, I could be considered slender, or plump. But that is normal after a baby.
I think at your height, you are slender. I only wish I had your height... From what I can tell, you are just right.

I would say average but on the slender side. I'm 5'4" and wear 6 in pants but only because of my butt and I look pretty thin, but definitely not anorexic. A size 6 has 36-38" hips, also considered a Medium. When I think Medium I think average. It's definitely not plump though!
And plump would not be size 8-10, to the person below! That's called Average, because there are different degrees of average. There is thin average which is size 4-6, there is average which is size 8-10 and there is bigger average which is size 12-14. When you're size 16 and up, then you're getting into the plump category, but it also depends on how you carry yourself, where you carry your weight most, and the size of your bone structure. A woman that has a small frame and is size 14 will look heavier than someone with a large frame at size 14 because the smaller frame will have more fat weight whereas the large framed 14 will have "bigger bones", or a wider frame with less fat weight.

What's the difference between slender and skinny?
I think it is a perfect size. Learn to love your curves or you "uncurves"!
Don't compare yourself to other people, see what looks best on you. I am off the charts for weigh in my category:
5'4"
14 years old
144 lbs
size 8-10.
But I look like I am 125 lbs. and I have a pretty thin face. I am just naturally super duper uber curvy. I always thought I was be ostrisized for my vuluptuous figure but instead I am praised!
Who woulda thunk?
