Everyone has an accent - I'm Welsh and my accent is very different to someone else Welsh who was, for example, born and brought up even 10 miles away.

No and I hate when my husbands relatives come to visit--they are from Mn.
They will say "you have the cutest accent"
Hello--have they not heard themselves talk--take about a accent and I have come to believe that everyone in Mn is deaf--when any of his family comes to visit, they yell when they talk.
You would think I am across the road from them and not 5 feet away.

yep, I have a Gravesendian Accent (North Kent). It's a bit like the cockney accent, but noticeably different to the trained ear.
