i used a penske truck to drive from florida to iowa. i know that was the wrong way. anyway, it was great. it only had 50,000 miles on it which i'm sure made the biggest difference. but drove really nice. as far as service, we picked it up and dropped it off. didn't need any service. we used a uhaul to go from iowa to florida. it was an old piece of junk. broke down twice and had to wait several hrs for a service truck to come from many miles away. i will always go with penske before uhaul.

I had a Penske truck break down on me and within an hour I had 4 guys in two trucks pull up and remove my goods from one and put it in the other I signed transfer papers and off I went. within 3 hours. I use no one else. I move cars across country and I always use Penske because of that experience 15 years ago. Hey the price is right just check over the truck well and they do stand behind their equipment.

Penske has much better trucks than u-haul and their service is great. I would ask them for a diesel truck with a liftgate on the back. The gas trucks are lighter trucks and will eat you up in gas if you are pulling a car.

Long distance moving doesn't have to be all work. Take the scenic route during your move and fit a little "me" time in along the way. Free, unlimited mileage on your one-way move may present a perfect opportunity to see things you never have before. Become a tourist for a few days, experience national landmarks or visit long-lost relatives during your relocation. You'll enjoy our newer, cleaner, well-maintained trucks. Plus, there's a CD player and/or MP3 jack in every truck!

I've used them all. The more important question isn't the BRAND name; but should be the size for the dollars; features; drop off points; time allowances; etc. AND compare them.

No offense to you or anyone; but anyone who shops strictly by a brand name; might just have more dollars than sense???

jointly as i haven't rented one, i comprehend that a diesel engine gets greater valuable gas mileage than a matching gas engine... Diesel does value greater advantageous than gas, although. (10% greater right here in my area)
