I'm not sure what kinds of food I want to serve there, but do I need something dif. then other restaurants? I've always wanted to work for myself and have people work for me. Decide what you want to serve. Then you can figure your cogs (cost of goods sold) and profit margin per serving, equipment needed to produce your product, how much initial and operating capital you'll need....create a forecast of projected sales to take to the bank for loan application (the more info you have for bankers or investers the better). Don't forget permits, fees, licenses, taxes.

Be prepared for long days, short nights, lots of work, little sleep. good luck

Not to discourage you but restaurants are ranked number 1 amoung businesses that open and fail. Just do your research before you jump into anything.

Just do a careful market study before you do it. Restaurants are among the fastest to open and fastest to close businesses.

If you have to ask then maybe you need more experience?
