Several people in my office, mainly female, take their shoes off during the day. At their desks. Given the fact hardly anyone wears nylons anymore, this leaves them with bafe feet. Do you or anyone in your office do this?

I haven't worn shoes to work (or anywhere else for that matter) for over ten years. I work at a history theme park now, where the bare feet usually fit in pretty well, but I've also worked at an internet helpdesk and done some temp jobs in winter season, all barefoot. In spite of persistent myths, there's nothing wrong with bare feet, they're not gross, unhealthy or dangerous. Well, if you work in construction they would be dangerous, but not in an office, store or most similar places. Feet get very tough very quickly, 'foot' odor should really be called 'shoe' odor since bare feet that were never shod don't smell, and a bit of dirt on the soles will wash off just fine.

Yes every day... I hate shoes.. i will wear the heels into the office, but once I'm there they are going under the desk.
My boss is 5'9 and i'm 5'7 when my shoes are on i'm almost taller than him.. so I prefer to have my shoes off..

I take my shoes off when at my desk, but NEVER walk around my office without my shoes on!

I do if I wear dress shoes. Sometimes when I wear tennis shoes, I take them off to let my feet breathe.

my boss does it and so do i sometimes, but my department is kind of private so we can do, otherwise if you working between so many people its not good. But yes you can take off shoes because sometime you tired of wearing it, and only you can take off if its not stinks :)

Occasionally. Sometimes my feet get way too hot in my shoes (especially in summer) and I take them off.
