Group size does not really guarrantee conformity. Conformity to group norms depends onthe level of acceptance of the norms by tjhe members. U can have a large/ small group in wich th norms r not accepted, conformity is low, irrespective of the size!!!

I would say it depends on the situation. In a state of mass hysteria, the larger the group the more force it would exert... whereas in times of relative calm that same group would break up into factions that went relatively unnoticed.. leaving smaller groups to exert the most force.
