It is a job of love. Every year the Salvation Army has bell ringers. The lady stationed at our local grocery store was there every year from the time I was 9 until last year when she transferred to a different store. 35 years in one place. You can be sure my kids and I will drive to the other store to see her. Miss Ruth is as much a part of our Christmas as Santa is.

Not at all. The longest serving member of staff I know of, are in New York's Steakhouses, where their "Union" reigns. Some work there since 20 years, serving "juicy Steaks".

This feller at the place I used to work at until very recently.
Anyways, this feller had worked at the place for years, and he was still a part time employee with no advantages then when he first started. And he was always getting yelled at for talking in the lobby.
