I need to be able to see some employees screens "covertly" across the network. Any advice what I can use to do this?

Sounds to me like this this guy is a control freak who wants "power" and will get it from "spying" on unsuspecting users. Thankfully though, this is not easy to do!!

Obviously he is not a professional or he wouldn't have to ask such questions. Probably a 20 year old kid who knows his way around a computer who has the job of maintaining company computers.

Just my thoughts.

I agree with most as you need to have the proper knowledge to do this right and ethically. I am an Enterprise Admin and I dont want to know what people are typing in real time its just not ethically right.

to do this right you need to put in place an appliance that will control what people are surfing and block and games or what not they may or may not be using. Everyone does some sort of "personal" business at work, IE banking, although probably against the computer usage policy its just the way the world works. In my line of work I simply dont have time to "watch" everyones PC screen. I have more important things to do like be on yahoo questions all day, LOL...

Ok im going to do my best to explain.
At school all the pcs are linked together and controlled by the main one.
Some have the rights to be able to have admin for teachers etc but for you being admin and then find the program so you can monitor any pc at any given time.

The only time you really need to see their screens is if you are remotely troubleshooting a problem on their machine, don't you think?
I have to agree with the folks who have suggested a firewall to block sites like gaming, shopping, chat, and so on. Truly this is the proper way to ensure that your employees are not surfing the net when they should be working.

There are better and more practical means to make sure your employees do not waste company time. Use a firewall to block access to materials by keywords or sites or even block internet all together for times of the day or by PC.

Your firewall should have a log to report who is using the most bandwidth and what sites were accessed.

This method is more acceptable because it is monitoring and not spying.

http://www.radmin.com is a great site, you could install servers via network on all your employee machines and watch what they do on the screen, read their types key strokes on the keyboard and much more.

You can find tons of software like this at http://www.download.com, I personally use Radmin so I know it's great, it works well with Vista and XP, and is very powerful software for monitoring activity over a wide network.

I doubt u can do it covertly.
radmin or logmein(free) both allows to see other users desktop, but will have a message saying, they r remotely connected.
if ur concerning security/porn then try cybersitter, its invisble & logs whatever user does on pc, chatting, website accessed......
Be a spy.

Why do you want to do this? Are they goofing off during company time when they should be working?
