It's pretty obvious this ownership don't care less about making a winning team. To think they won 2 World Series & still nobody cares for them. MLB really needs to start getting rid of owners who only care about putting money in their own pockets & just allow owners who really do care about making their team better & really do care about what their fanbase thinks.

Look, I had season tickets for the Marlins every year. I've been through the great and the bad. I'm pretty upset with what's going on now though.
I'm not renewing next year. The owner and his weasel son-in-law both suck.
They made 30 mill in revenue sharing last year, and can't afford to keep a future hall of famer (Cabrera)???
Well, I'm not forking over 5 grand to sit through another season of new faces.
I think a new owner would be great.

The Marlins bought the two championships they got so they'd get a few season ticket holders for the following years. After they won, they had to mail out their World Series rings because they got rid of most of the talent they had to pocket all the money.
You're right that they need to get rid of some of these owners. There is a luxury tax that the big money making clubs have to pay these clowns so they can be competitve and they won't use it. It's an absolute joke.
They over-expanded baseball anyway. Half of these guys shouldn't even be in the big leagues and they are making $5 million a year.
I'd bet that 90% of baseball fans that aren't a Marlins, Devil Rays, or Royals fan and lives outside their markets couldn't name 4 players on the roster. And I'm including myself in that.

The Marlins offered the two championships they gained so as that they could get a pair of season fee tag holders for the subsequent years. while they gained, they mandatory to mail out their international sequence rings considering they gained rid of different the expertise they mandatory to pocket the total money. you're maximum awesome that they must eliminate a number of those abode vendors. there is an opulent tax that the super money making golf equipment ought to pay those clowns so as that they are waiting to be competitve and so as that they won't use it. this is an absolute humorous tale. They over-better baseball besides. 0.5 of those men shouldn't additionally be interior the super leagues and that they are making $5 million a year. i could wager that ninety% of baseball enthusiasts which at the instant are not a Marlins, devil Rays, or Royals fan and lives exterior their markets ought to no longer call 4 game enthusiasts on the roster. and that i'm including myself in that.

your right they should. the marlins will only have a payroll of about ten million this year, the sad part is, before the season even starts they will make 60 million from tv, radio, internet and merchandise and tickets. they say they cant afford to sign players but they have more than enough. the only reason ownership is doing this is so they can try to force there hand and have miami build them an all expenses paid stadium, because they have tried to get a new stadium for at least the past 7 years.

I agree with you. Probably worst ownership front office in all of sports. But, the league looks at the fact that the Marlins have won 2 World Series ('97, '2003) and that's why. They can't contract a team like that. In my opinion, they should just get rid of Florida MLB teams.

MLB should not just get rid of the Marlins, rather it might be a good idea to force the owner to sell the team, then possibly move the team out of Miami. Vegas, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Portland are all viable sites to move the Marlins to.

Keep the team and dump the owner. There are great and knowledgeable fans in Florida that need a new stadium and an owner that cares.

If it were your business, how would you run it? Given the fact that you have the LEAST revenue, attendance and budget to work with. You couldn't afford to keep your stars.. Or worse, you pay ONE star and the rest of your team gets disgruntled, or your one star gets disgruntled. This team made it happen a few years ago and were in contention for a playoff spot... Its money baby and they dont have a lot of it!!! Lets keep'em... After all, they are developing other stars for OTHER teams!
