Do you realize there is only one way to legally change this by constitutional amendment! Remove Republic of --- out replace with true direct consensus democracy! How many generations of American's have been hoodwink into trusting politicians who will say & do anything to hold an office just so they can line their own pockets and ignor you for the duration of their terms! and i hate it. If greedy and powerful elite weren't in charge right now the state of our country would be unrecognizable (in a good way) from where we're standing now. (our economy would be booming, everyone would have jobs, we would all be healthier, etc.)

democracy is mob rule, that would mean us the white majority could vote to make minority bashing and murder legal, and they would have no choice but to get beaten or leave, this is why we have elected representatives,

note this country's majorities are middle class and richer, white, & christian, realize witch direction this country would head if it were a true democracy
