After removing the staples, you should wash your hair and scalp. Clean the scalp, wash with mild soap or shampoo, dry thoroughly and apply some antiseptic or antibiotic cream. If the staples are rusty , you should have an tetanus toxoid shot.

I would if I was you take a plastic bag, cut it to cover the wound and then wash away.I would not put direct water on the staples, unless the dr told you to do so. You can daliy become more aggressive with the scrubbing of the wound. But putting a plastic bag over the wound will help it from getting wet!

call your local pharmacy and ask them about this shampoo that uses no water. Seriously, I would think the hospital worker would have heard of this. I don't know the name of it but I would not wet my head .

i think you're supposed to wait until they are taken out before you go into the shower or submerge your head in the bath! you could try sponge bathing your hair!

What did you do. I would wait at least a week, did the doc say anything about that cuz he should have.
