Really interesting comments going on...Just a thought though: I'm sure if guns are banned criminals would get hold of them still but wouldn't it make it harder? Maybe this kid would have just jumped off a building instead if getting a gun hadn't been so easy in the first place. What do you think?

Yes! Yes! Yes! There is no reason people should carry guns around with them. Especially in states where it is legal to carry a concealed weapon. And for all the people who say "its in the constitution, its our right", well remember when the constitution was written the U.S. did not have a standing army the way we do now, no national guard ect, police force, ect.. They relied on mostly milita to fight the Revolutionary war. So people had to have weapons ready and on hand. It was also written then that black people should be counted as 3/4 of a person for representation...should we still abide by that too????
