My husband and I are planning to tell my family at Christmas that we're expecting. :) Does anyone have any fun ideas for how I could do this creatively? For instance, I was thinking of having everyone unwrap a baby spoon or baby food... but I want to make it fun. Ideas? Thanks so much!

That's a very cute idea! You could also have each person unwrap a "word". Someone unwrap "We", then "are", "having", "a" and then "Baby". Or if you have more people than that, stretch out how you say it. If you have less, put more than one word inside the package for people to open. Congrats!

A new stocking

Give your dad a grampa burger from A&W

Picture frames that have a note in it Picture due....then your due date

Put an expecting parents ornament on the tree

The night before Christmas put a bun in the oven. Then the person that goes to cook will find this and wonder

Give everyone a gift with a little baby item in it. Soother, bib, blanket.

Have your other child or dog run around with a t-shirt indicating I'm a big brother or Sister T-shirt

Wrap up a gift like the picture frame idea , baby items or a baby's first Christmas ornament or Expecting parents ornament. Wrap it over and over again with tape and paper and play the game where they have to roll 2 six's and when then do they need to put on a hat, scarf and oven mitts and try and unwrap the gift. When the person opens the gift they will all be stunned.

extra stocking

FUN.....congratulations! Try and keep it a secret till Christmas. I would be going nuts.

My best friend was given the pleasure of letting the whole family know that her son and daughter-in-law were expecting. It was to be announced at an Easter gathering. She started walking around the house putting mini baby items (bottles, rattles and blocks) that she got at Michael's crafts. When anyone asked what they were for she just smiled. I finally walked up to her and asked do these mean you are about to be a grandma? It was cute and creative. The items were all about a half inch to an inch big.

Okay, well this might be a bit over the top but we bought a new car...(maybe if you're not in the market to buy a car you could just get your car detailed). We asked everyone at home to come and outside and see our new car and we had the baby seat already installed right in the back.

At first, my mom and dad made a big deal out of our new car and how nice it was and we didn't say anything...then they said 'Hey? They gave you a baby seat *free* with your new car?" and then they realized it.

It was cute.

properly you should come domicile driving on a donkey being it is going to likely be the Christmas season... you should only deliver a observe which you're bringing somebody new to Christmas this year as properly and make the family members ask your self until you get there.

You would write "Merry Christmas from the Both of Us and the Baby!" in the card on the present that you are giving your dad/mom (And tell them to read it out loud to everyone!)

If you're far enough along and have an ultrasound done before the holidays put an ultrasound picture in a nice holiday card.
